TAOTLE JÄRELMAKSU
The Leoncino family of products is one of the most iconic among all the Benelli range.
With the arrival of the new Leoncino Bobber 400, the line up is expanding towards a new concept
born in Centro Stile Benelli, where italian design meets the power cruiser style.
The 15-liters fuel tank, with its typical Leoncino traits, gives the vehicle a low and aggressive profile.
In addition, the sculptural shapes of the vehicle are enhanced by the rider seat that is detached
from the tank. The short aluminium tail, a concentrate of style and functionality, supports the
passenger seat without additional support frames.
Tires with a high sidewall (front: 130/90-16”, rear: 150/80-16”) and bar-end mirrors convey a sense of strength and solidity,
characteristic of the bobber style. Nevertheless, the low-mounted license plate and the thin LED
headlight contribute into giving a compact feeling to the vehicle: the overall length stands at
2.170 mm with a 1.520 mm wheelbase.
One of the key traits of the Leoncino Bobber 400’s design is the air filter, placed on the right
side and defining a distinctive trait to the bike’s styling. As a straight recall to the power cruiser
world, this technical element plays a key role in terms of giving a bold attitude to Benelli’s first
ever V-Twin engine.
In fact, the Leoncino Bobber 400 is the first ever motorcycle by the
Pesaro’s brand to be equipped with a 2-cylinder engine with a V-60° layout. The powertrain
perfectly fits into a slim and essential motorcycle like the Leoncino Bobber, becoming itself a
core feature in terms of design.
For example, the cylinder heads are characterized by cooling
fins, giving a classic style to a liquid-cooled engine built with the latest cutting-edge
technologies. With a Ø60 mm bore and 68 mm stroke, the engine displacement is 384,5 cc.
Each cylinder is casted in aluminium, and it’s separated from the engine crankcase.
The stylish air filter brings fresh air into a Ø 29mm throttle body directly coupled to the intake ducts, where
also the injectors are placed. With three oxygen sensors placed in the catalytic exhaust system,
the Leoncino Bobber 400 meets the Euro5 + regulation. With 26 kW (34,5 CV) @ 8.000 rpm
and max torque of 36 Nm (2,95 kgm) @ 4.500 rpm, the Leoncino Bobber 400’s engine unloads
its performance through a drive belt transmission.
The frame of the Leoncino Bobber 400 is a double cradle with steel tubes and plates: a common
solution for this genre of motorcycles, as well as the double shock absorber linked to the rear
swingarm.
On the front end, the Ø 35 mm upside down telescopic fork is matched with a single
floating disk ø 300 mm with 4 pistons axial calliper and double channel ABS.
Therefore, valid chassis solutions make the Leoncino Bobber 400 effective due to its refined simplicity. In terms
of riding, the wide rider’s seat (730 mm), the forwarded position of the footrests and the wide
handlebar create a comfortable triangulation aimed to long cruises and gentle windy roads.
To let the rider enjoy the road, a coloured circular display is featured with well-organized
information. In terms of safety, the Leoncino Bobber 400 will assist the cruise through each
condition thanks to the TCS system that can be easily handled on the right light switch.
The Benelli Leoncino Bobber 400 will be available from 2025 in three different colors: Desert
Tan, Midnight Black and Onix Grey.
